bespoke interior
The ground floor of this former farmhouse barn was transformed into a warm and refined living space where authenticity and contemporary comfort come together in harmony.
In the entrance hall, a monumental staircase immediately captures the eye. The cloakroom and storage areas are discreetly integrated into the wooden wall panelling, creating a clean and cohesive aesthetic while adding warmth and a sense of intimacy to the space.
A striking wooden door leads to the heart of the home: an open-plan living area comprising the lounge, fireplace, dining area, and kitchen. The kitchen is conceived as a composition of two islands, whose playful arrangement introduces a sense of dynamism and spatial flow to the interior.
The cooking island features an elevated backsplash that subtly conceals the visual clutter associated with cooking, while preserving the openness of the space and maintaining interaction with the surrounding living areas.
The materials chosen for the bespoke joinery and cabinetwork subtly reference the original character of the building. Warm wood accents create a dialogue with the existing timber trusses, while travertine in various finishes adds a timeless and tactile richness to the overall composition.
