RSA restaurant
Antwerp, Belgium, 2017
bespoke interior
The conceptual design for this restaurant was inspired by the chef’s culinary philosophy: no-nonsense cooking, honest ingredients, and meticulous attention to detail. The interior translates this vision into space through a restrained yet characterful design language in which authenticity takes centre stage.
Particular attention was given to acoustic comfort, an often overlooked yet essential aspect of restaurant design. Materials and atmosphere were carefully balanced to create a calm and pleasant dining experience for guests.
The use of acoustic spray plaster on both walls and ceilings not only enhances sound absorption, but also gives the interior a strong tactile and visual identity. The result is a warm and understated atmosphere that perfectly reflects the character of the restaurant.
