bespoke interior
The redesign of this historic manor farmhouse was guided by the ambition to bring greater calm, warmth, and intimacy to the living spaces, while respecting the authentic character of the building.
The existing lounge area, defined by a magnificent monumental fireplace, originally also functioned as part of the circulation zone connecting the entrance and the main staircase. As a result, the space felt more like a passageway than a true living area.
By repositioning the staircase and introducing a wooden screen, the space is subtly divided without compromising its openness and sense of spaciousness. This transformation turns the lounge into an intimate and inviting setting, fully oriented towards the fireplace as the central focal point of the interior.
In the dining area, an integrated wooden wall unit was added to discreetly separate the kitchen from the lounge, while maintaining a visual connection between both spaces.
The use of warm, authentic, and noble materials enhances the character of the existing farmhouse and creates a timeless harmony between architecture and interior design.
