architecture / bespoke interior
The design for this renovation of a detached corner house for a young family was guided by one central ambition: to reconnect the kitchen — the true heart of the home — with the garden, a quality that was lacking in the existing layout.
The new kitchen was conceived as a light-filled dual-aspect space, featuring large sliding windows that can be fully opened during the summer months. This creates a seamless transition between interior and exterior, allowing the surrounding garden to become an integral part of the living environment.
Through carefully considered and minimal interventions to the existing structural walls, the spatial relationship with the adjoining living areas is preserved and even enhanced. The result is an open and luminous home with a stronger connection between living, light, and landscape.
